Little Louie, Louie, Louie

Hello Blog land, well did you think that I had abandoned my blog again,  well fear not I am back, just been a we bit a busy, and the times I want to post Hubby has been using the computer.  I often have to say to him can I get a shot of computer so I can finish a card, and he obliges, but I don't think I would get same reaction to create a post.

Happy Birthday "Little Louie"

Today's creation is a birthday card, a Less is more sort of card,
what I mean is clean and simple.  Don't like to overdo a card, especially when posting - the cost of stamps nowadays!

I just love this bear

A Stitch in Time

Another card I made in 2010!

Ingredients:
Image:  Dressmaker from Digital Stamp Tuesday
Prisma Pencils
Gingham Background Paper
Wording on Computer
Buttons -Sizzix

Pearl Bracelet

I'm enjoying posting my blogs, just hopefully there is someone out there enjoying my creations, and of course my waffle!  Two posts in one day, well I thought I would also blog some beading.  In October last year I joined a local beading group, which I am really enjoying, so thought I would share my beading creations on here as well.

So this is the very first bracelet I made, amazing to think that this is made using a needle, thread and beads.  Sometimes I look at it and can't believe that I actually made this!

Below a close up of the bracelet on my writs!

Well I better go, I really should be making cards!

It's A Boy!!!

Hello to everyone in blog-land this lovely sunny Thursday evening. I wander if the Sun would be kind enough to stay for the weekend? Enough about the weather, get on with today's post.
A Baby Card for my Husbands friend from work, who recently had a Baby Boy.

Ingredients:
Card Base - Interactive Baby Boy Easel Card, from Clip Art Fairy
Image: Baby Fynn, from Digital Stamp Boutique
Image printed twice, then paper pieced stripe bath
Coloured using Promarkers and glitter
Marianne Creatables - buttons, (I used the Start shaped button)
Cord & ribbon
Wording done on Computer

And for such a Special Card, I made a box  which you can see below.
I had left over card, from the box, so made a matching tag, unfortunately the photo is not really letting you see the tag!

Ingredients for Box:
Bottom of Box:  white Card,
Top of Box: Blue card
I used Cuttlebug embossing folders, swiss dots, to emboss the BOY letters which I cut using  Sizzix Alphabets.  I also embossed the tag with Cuttlebug Button  border.
Blue Paper Ribbon

I am attempting to enter this into Digital Stamp Boutique August Challenge Blog (the last one I entered did not link properly, so fingers crossed).

Prisma Pencils to colour image
Xcut Flower in 2 sizes, finished with Gems
Wording typed on computer, and chalk to colour edge of white card.

Home Bakes

A treat for Saturday!

At least they look like scones, and even better they actually taste like scones.

My mum is an excellent baker, I thought I was clever and would make a batch of scones using a recipe I had copied from mum, however the scones didn't rise, in fact they spread so much that they all touched.  They tasted lovely.  I took a sample to Mum, to see where I went wrong!  Found out it was a recipe she had written in her book, but never tried!  When my dad saw them, he thought I did a "grand job" with my shortbread.
I have practiced since then, and am so proud every time they actually look like scones.

Anyone for a round of Golf?

Good Evening, really I should be saying good night, and going off to my bed, but I had already typed up this blog, and somehow lost it, so determined to post something before I hit the land of ZZZzzzzz!

The brief for the Card, Uncle is 60, Beer or Golf!
So I opted for a few images from Digital Stamp Boutique:
Alf Playing Golf & Sports Accents - Golf Ball Accent

So here is a preview of the main image!

Coloured using Prisma Pencils
I printed a futher image, and cut out the Golfing Trolley
and layered this using sticky pads, I did the same with the oversized golf ball!

The Finished Card!

BP is from Pink Petticoat, along with from my stash
Square Nestie
and edges highlighted with chalk.
